9th November - Coffee Morning.
Coffee Morning on Wednesday 9th November 2011 at the St. Gabriel Band Club at 9.00am. The Price is €2.50.

9th November - First meeting of the Central Committee 2011/2012.
Sunday 30^thOctober 2011 was held the Annual General Meeting 2011/2012 at the St. Gabriel Band Club at 10.15am. The Meeting started with General Secretary Saviour Deguara reading the Annual Report, followed by Treasurer Ray Debono financial report and a short speech by President Lino Borg ended the first part of the meeting. It was time for discussion between the members. A Chairman and 2 Tellers were nominated in order to start the process regarding the 11 members for the Central Committee. As the vacancies for President, General Secretary, Treasurer and Director General were not contested, Lino Borg, Saviour Deguara, Ray Debono and Charles Fenech were elected as President, General Secretary, Treasurer and Director General respectively. 11 had to be elected out of the 13 nominees. The members decided not to hold an election and every contestant had to be elected in the Central Committee in order that more members will be able to work in the St Gabriel Band Club. Definately it shows that more members want to work in our Society and hope that this would be another year of great work in this St. Gabriel Band Club.

19th July - Marc & Program from UK Band!
On Tuesday 19^th July 2011, The Band of Hampshire Constabulary did a musical concert in the village of Hal Balzan. The UK Band contributed great music and splendid atmosphere on the Purvis of the Annunciation Parish Church. This was their second concert in Hal Balzan and definitely shows their friendship with the St Gabriel Band Club – Hal Balzan A.D. 1920. Poppers, fireworks and good contemporary music filled the air in the quite village of Hal Balzan. The event was organized by the St Gabriel Band Club.

25th June - Arrived at the Club, the Feast Book 2011.
Saturday 25th June, arrived at the Club the Feast Book 2011... Thanks to Silvio Cassar, the editor of this Publication. For another year we can see a Feast book full of information, articles and photos. This book now will be delivered in every home in Balzan and donations will be collected for the Feast 2011. We encourage everyone to be generous like usual. Thanks. Soon you can see the book online...

25th June - Another great initiative to our village Hal Balzan.
Another initiative that has to be mention is that The St Gabriel Band Club planted flowers in front of the statue of St Mary, better known 'Ta' Santa Marija'. The statue needs restoration or reconstruction as definitely it is in a bad state. At least the flowers planted will give another atmosphere in the surroundings. Praise will go to all those members of the St Gabriel Band Club who spent time in redecorating and gave a face lift to the surroundings. We are there to keep traditions and instigate new initiatives to our village... Hal Balzan.

24th June - Launching of the book Hal Balzan u l-Lunzjata.
Last Friday, at the residence of the Spanish Ambassador, better known in Hal Balzan 'Villa Macedonia' in Sisner Street, the 500 pages 'Hal Balzan u l-Lunzjata u kitbiet ohra' by Carmel Bezzina was launched. A good crowd was present to the launching, and Profs Stanley Fiorini and Profs Joseph M. Brincat gave a contribution to this event. Duo Josef Bugeja and Stefan Cassar played the Ave Maria. 21st June - Outing organized by the Women's Committee.
The Women's Committee is organizing an outing with tombola & breakfast, at Mellieha Holiday Complex, on Tuesday 21st June at 9am for the price of €10. Booking 21 445840 or 99 245466.

16th June - T-Shirts of the Feast 2011.
Like every year on the occasion of the Feast of the Annunciation in Balzan we do the T-Shirt of the Feast. The T-Shirt are going to be arrived at the Club soon and are going to be sold for the price of €5.00. Thanks goes also to the sponsors of the T-Shirt, which is going to be on the back, which are Deguara Ironomgery & Bartoline Paints.

15th June - The last finishing touches for the Annual Feast Book.
The much awaited Annual Feast Book is almost ready and in the coming days will be in for printing. Yes, this publication will be very informative and interesting as always. The Editor is Mr. Silvio Cassar. Definitely that Silvo worked very professionally in order that the Yearly Publication will be another high level of success. Later on, the Feast Book will be online.

10th June - Today a month before the Feast 2011.
Exactly a month for the Feast of the Annunciation in Balzan, which is going to be held in 10th July. The preparation is very busy right now. We encourage everyone who can give a helping hand in any way. Let's celebrate another feast in Balzan as our mother the Annunciation disserves.

6th June - Inzanznu s-Sala l-Gdida... Attivita!
Finalizing our dream... On Monday 6th June 2011, the St. Gabriel Band Club marked this eve of the public holiday with a great evening under the name ‘Be part of our History’. The Multi-cultural Hall was used for the first time in a great festive atmosphere. The entertainment was in the hands of Val Valente Band and the hilarious Joe Demicoli. The special guests were the Committee and Players of the Balzan Youths FC where recently were crowned as the First Division Champions and promoted to the Premier League. They signed a photo for this occasion. Great atmosphere, five star food and another success in this event. 21st May - Band Service - Gwardamangia Feast.
Saturday 21st May the St. Gabriel Band is going to make a service at Gwardamangia for the Feast of Madonna ta' Fattima. Depart from Balzan Square buy private at 7.150pm. The Band service starts from the Church at 8.00pm and ends at 11.00pm.

17th May - Outing organized by the Women's Committee - Mother's Day.

7th May - We are taking part in the Marathon of Puttinu Cares.
The Youth Committee San Gabriel is taking part in Puttinu Cares Marathon 2011 held in Marsa Grounds between Friday 6th and Sunday 8th May 2011. On Saturday, we are playing football between 11pm and midnight during this Marathon.

1st May - Balzan Day, Balzan Community Day.
The Hal Balzan Day is going to be celebrated on Sunday 1st May 2011. This is an initiative from the Local Coucil.

> 9.30am - A Mass followed by Gieh Hal Balzan Award to Mr. Silvio Cassar and Ms. Mary Fenech. The presentation will be held in the Joseph A. Stellini Garden.

The St. Gabriel Band Club augurs Mr. Silvio Cassar, a member of the St. Gabriel Band Club Central Committee and an ex-National Team Basketball player for 21 years, 7 years as the Team Captain. In the meantime, the St. Gabriel Band Club augurs Ms. Mary Fenech, an active woman in our community. Well done to you both for this award!

20th April - Visits to the Holy Week Exhibition 2011.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Dr Lawrence Gonzi and Opposition Leader Dr Joseph Muscat did a visit to the Holy Week Exhibition 2011 at the St Gabriel Band Club. First visit was by Dr Joseph Muscat. In a short speech he praised the volunteers for this 3 floors exhibition where 'you showed your perfect skills in such trades...keep it up for the future.' Dr. Muscat ended. Then the Prime Minister Dr. Gonzi visited the Holy Week Exhibition. He was impressed by the details found in every item exhibited. 'The courage and the will looks great...keep up the good work together.' Dr. Gonzi concluded. Then they signed up the Visitors' Book and a drink took place. The St. Gabriel Band Club would like to thank the 3 main leaders: Prime Minister and PN Leader Dr Lawrence Gonzi, Opposition Leader and PL Leader Dr Joseph Muscat and Archbishop Paul Cremona OP for their time spent with us. Thank you.

3rd April - Activity at San Anton, St. Gabriel Band is participating.
On Sunday 3rd April it is going to be organized an activity at San Anton between the Balzan Local Council and Attard Local Council between 10am & 6pm. During this activity for all the family, St. Gabriel Band will be playing at 4.30pm. St. Gabriel Band Club is also going to promote the Good Friday Exhibition and Palm Sunday Procession 2011, and other information about the Club.
